New EvaBank Visa Contactless Debit Cards

Starting on December 13, 2023, all new and expiring debit cards will be replaced with new Visa Contactless Debit Cards.

What does this mean for you?

  • For existing debit card holders, you will be sent a New Card by the end of your current expiration date.
    • Please activate your New Card with the instructions sent with the card and begin using on the last day of
your current expiration date. Continue to use your existing card until that date.
    • Your Card Number will change! Please be aware: If you have automatic payments made with your current card, make sure to contact each vendor with your updated card number to help avoid any interruption of services.
    • You will no longer receive a separate PIN mailer with your New Card.
    • You will be able to activate your card and select your unique PIN by calling our card activation number from your home or mobile phone number related to your account.
      • Please make sure we have your current phone number, email and mailing address!
    • If applicable, destroy your old card after activating your new card
    • Online Access: You will still be able to manage (lock, report lost, etc.) your debit cards through Card Management with the EvaBank Banno Mobile App.  Download our App and enroll for these services today.

  • For new debit card holders, you will receive your new card within 7-10 business days from the day we processed your application you completed during account opening.
    • Activate your card by calling the number on the activation label from your home or mobile phone number related to your account.
    • After your card is activated, follow the prompts if you need to establish or desire to change your PIN.

How it works

Cardholders can pay with a contactless card by holding the card flat and tapping it at a contactless-enabled checkout terminal. The payment is processed using the same dynamic security technology as with chip card payments, and the transaction time takes seconds.

Look for the Contactless Symbol that signifies a contactless-enabled checkout terminal.
The chip plate on a contactless card is visible on the front of the card. Inside the card, the chip and antennae communicate with the point of sale terminal to send encrypted transaction data.
